Distributed Labs
A new identity and publishing platform for an independent product engineering studio.
The brief
Translate a deeply technical practice into a digital identity that feels precise without becoming cold. The site needed to communicate expertise in distributed systems, AI memory engineering, blockchain, and product design while leaving room for the studio’s work and thinking to grow.
The approach
The identity pairs an editorial visual language with a systems-inspired graphic vocabulary. Warm paper, restrained terracotta, serif typography, and orbit-like diagrams create a deliberate contrast with the cold gradients common to technology websites.
The implementation uses Zola to keep the publishing model simple: projects and articles live as structured Markdown, while shared templates preserve a consistent experience across the site.
The result
A fast static portfolio and journal that keeps content portable, deployment straightforward, and the studio’s point of view at the center.
